SOUTH AFRICA

What an amazing time God took us through!
In this country He helped us to renew our mind to His will and see His word in a new way. We understood who we are when we are born again, when we die to ourselves and live for and with Him instead for ourselves in this world.

All my fear disappeared, fear of men and fear of darkness. I only fear Him, the living God that have all the power in His hand and have the power to save me from my sinful nature. So thankful to Him. We spent almost all our time in the word; reading, asking, discussing, teaching each other. We also had hours every day to spend with the family to become a strong team and to be in one accord. We taught our children and they saw the change in us and was attracted to what they saw. They said they wanted the same. What a feeling when you lead your children on the right path and you see they want to continue. We grew stronger in knowledge and in Spirit.

We got many friends both through the school we attended but also through the outreach in the township. We are still in contact with many brothers and sisters. We also got an extra daughter, a girl we had in foster care while we lived there.
We had the opportunity where we lived to go out and tell the gospel a lot.

Every week Andreas went to the prison and spoke about Jesus and many gave their lives to Jesus, received the Holy Spirit and got their lives changed. We were not allowed to baptize in the prison because of lack of water, so when they were released they came to our city to be baptized.

We did ministry in high schools, orphanages, townships and among neighbors, and many people got set free from their old life and started a new with Christ.

South Africa will always be one of our homes. We fell in love with the culture, the people and the surroundings. God did many signs and wonders in our family and through us during this time.

Almost 2 years later we left the school. We learned so much from being in the word and now it was time for the next chapter in our lives.

August 2017 we left South Africa for Denmark, for a 3 month practical discipleship school. (Read more under `Denmark`)

Vilken fantastisk tid Gud gav oss!

Under vår tid här hjälpte Han oss att förnya våra sinnen så vi förstod Hans vilja och lärde oss förstå Hans Ord. Vi förstod vem vi är när vi är födda på nytt, när vi dör till vårt eget jag och lever för och med Honom istället för oss själva i den här världen.

Mina rädslor försvann; människorädsla och rädsla för mörker. Nu fruktar jag bara Honom, den levande Guden som har all makt, all makt att rädda mig från min synd. Jag är så tacksam till Honom. Vi läste Bibeln väldigt mycket under den här tiden; ställde frågor, diskuterade och lärde oss från varandra. Varje dag hade vi också många timmar där vi bara umgicks med familjen, blev ett starkt team tillsammans. Vi lärde våra barn det vi tycker är viktigt och de såg förändringen som skett i oss och sa att de ville ha samma sak. Det är en underbar känsla när man leder sina barn på rätt väg och man ser att de vill fortsätta där. Vi växte starkare I kunskap och ande.

Vi fick många nya vänner både genom skolan och även genom evangelisationen vi hade I kåkstaden. Vi håller fortfarande kontakt med flera av dem.

Varje vecka åkte Andreas till fängelset och talade om Jesus och många gav sina liv till Jesus, fick ta emot den Helige Ande och fick förändrade liv.Vi fick inte döpa I fängelset pga att de inte hade vatten, så när de kom ut kom de till oss I vår stad för att bli döpta.

Vi gick ut och talade om Jesus I high schools, barnhem, kåkstäder och bland grannar, och många människor blev satta fria från deras gamla liv och startade ett nytt med Kristus.

Sydafrika kommer alltid vara ett av våra hem. Vi blev förälskade I kulturen, människorna och naturen. Gud gjorde många under och tecken I och genom vår familj under den här tiden.

Knappt 2 år senare lämnade vi skolan. Vi hade lärt oss mycket av att vara I Ordet och nu var det tid för nästa kapitel I vårt liv. I augusti 2017 lämnade vi Sydafrika för att gå en 3 månaders praktisk lärjungaskola I Danmark. (Läs mer under Danmark)
